The Central Coast Business Mentor Service

The Central Coast Business Mentor Service is a non-profit organisation funded by Wyong Shire and Gosford City councils providing a free service to assist Central Coast businesses to prosper and grow.

What is a Business Mentor?

A Business Mentor is a volunteer with extensive business experience who will provide guidance and assistance with any type of business problem. The Mentor does not do the job but will help the business owner to identify and prioritise areas for improvement or develop alternatives to facilitate decision making. If professional advice is required the Mentor will direct you to the appropriate source.

Who Needs a Business Mentor?

Any person with a desire to learn and operate a successful business. People in small business often feel isolated and Mentoring gives them, immediate access to knowledge and experience developed over many years in a real business environment. A Mentor provides an external perspective which is essential for any business. Quite often a Mentor can help a business owner to make significant improvements after just one or two visits. Mentoring helps clients to develop their own skills to meet new challenges and manage a successful business.

Assigning a Mentor

Initial contact with the Business Mentor Service is usually by telephone and we will conduct a brief interview to determine the urgency and the skills required. A Mentor will be assigned, usually within 48 hours. In a crisis situation, the response can be quicker. To request a mentor or to be a volunteer please contact us.

Confidentiality

The Business Mentor Service will keep all aspects of its dealings with you confidential. A confidentiality agreement will be signed by you and your Mentor.

Ralph Harris

Ralph's experience with the Retail sector is very impressive. His experience extends to retail leasing, shopping centre consultancy (working with centre owners and developers), leasing of "bulky goods" outlets and managing retail operations.  Furthermore, Ralph has also been responsible for the management, leasing and promotion of large shopping centres around Sydney.  Ralph has also owned and operated a number of small businesses in the past; clearly a wealth of retail experience!

Stephen Rinaldo

Stephen has extensive experience in Business Consultancy, particularly in the areas of Marketing, Advertising and Retailing. Stephen's experience extends to Business Services, Sales and Business Planning.  Stephen has also worked with major companies that have held the 'account' to advertise and promote huge international companies in Australia; companies which are or have become literally household names
